I opened Equitable Tax Service in 1990 to offer clients personal service for individual and small business tax needs at a reasonable price.

My interest in taxes began with classes I took towards my Business Economics degree at UC Santa Barbara. A few years later, there was a major shift in tax law and I decided to take an H&R Block class to update my knowledge for my personal use. There I found a passion for the profession and stayed on as a preparer for two seasons. In 1990, with my theoretical knowledge from UCSB, my hands on experience at H&R Block and the Enrolled Agent credential behind my name, I decided to launch Equitable Tax Service. My business has blossomed over the years as has my passion for the work and the clients I assist. It is the personal side of helping each client for their individual needs that makes the profession the most rewarding.
